Support Local During Coronavirus: Pandamonium Doughnuts

March 30, 2020

In the greater Champaign County area, local businesses aren't just businesses. Our neighbors, family, and friends are all working to keep things as normal as possible amidst the COVID-19 precautions as outlined by the Governor of Illinois and the Champaign-Urbana Public Health Department. These challenging times serve as a reminder to residents in the greater Champaign County area just how wonderful our local businesses, restaurants, and community truly is. If there's ever a time to embrace #OutsideofOrdinary, it's now.

Pandamonium Doughnuts

The C-U food truck scene is vibrant, especially when students are in town. The Pandamonium Doughnuts truck is a favorite on campus, but us downtown Champaign workers love their visits in the summer too. With the Windsor storefront closed due to COVID-19, the food truck is playing an important role in making sure the greater Champaign County area keeps getting its sweet tooth satisfied.

Curbside is a popular way for residents to continue supporting local restaurants and businesses. Rather than simply bring food out to cars, the Pandamonium food truck is serving customers. Every day, the truck will be stocked with an assortment of flavors that change daily. Doughnuts are sold from 8 am until sold out, so it's recommended to get their early or ensure you don't leave empty-handed.

You can guarantee you'll leave the truck with doughnuts by placing an order on Pandamonium's new online site. Orders are fulfilled from Wednesday to Sunday, and anything placed by 9 pm is guaranteed to be ready the next day. There's a minimum count of 4 doughnuts per online order, but let's be honest, why would you want any less?!

COVID-19 restrictions aren't limiting the amazing flavors Pandamonium is known for. Flavors and selections vary daily, but popular options like PB&J, Girl Scout Thin Mint, and the Cereal Killer are in regular rotation. We could all use a pick-me-up right now, and Pandamonium is ensuring none of us go without something sweet, tasty, and fun to eat.

HOW TO SUPPORT LOCAL BUSINESS DURING THE CORONAVIRUS

As we see a reduction in business to our area, we continue to encourage the support of our local businesses and the hospitality industry. As of Sunday, March 15, it is state-mandated that bars & restaurants close through March 30. Please note that carry-out and curbside pick-up options are available. We are collecting information on these options and posting them here, but also encourage patrons to follow their favorite spots on social media for updates or call for more information.

We will continue to post updates on our Business Updates and Cancellations page as we receive them, but encourage everyone to take guidelines from the Illinois Department of Public Health and the CDC seriously.
