Five Cocktails That Have Us Ready for the Weekend

September 25, 2020

We have some incredible bars and restaurants around the greater Champaign County area. With amazing bars and restaurants come incredible cocktails, mixed drinks, and other adult concoctions perfect for the weekend ahead. Here are a few we can't stop thinking about.

crane alley's fall cocktail lineup

We couldn't pick one option at Crane Alley so we're going with their full fall cocktail lineup. The new options include a Caramel Apple Pie Martini, S'mores cocktail, Butterbeer Toddy, and an Iced Mochacccino. What better way to enjoy the flavors of fall than to drink them in a fun, creative way.

watson's shake & rail's wabbit cocktail

Okay, this one had us tilting our heads at first, but it's gorgeous and delicious. This cocktail comes with Finn's Gin from Chicago Distilling, carrot Juice, Honey Ginger Syrup, & lemon juice. It's refreshing, it's bright, and it's a great partner to some incredible chicken. Sign us up!

esquire's grape slush (for a cause)

Esquire Lounge's slushies are a favorite around C-U, and right now, you can help out a local cause while enjoying this amazing drink. A portion of proceeds for the grape slushies are going to the UP Center as they put on this year's CU PrideFest virtually. Everybody wins with this drink!

NOLA'S ROCK BAR APPLE CIDER MULE

NOLA's Rock Bar (formerly Blackbird) has an incredible menu for food and drinks. This Apple Cider Mule is a fun, seasonal take on the popular Moscow iteration. With a great, refreshing apple finish, we can definitely see more of these in our future this fall.

HAMILTON WALKER'S BOTTOMLESS MIMOSAS

Are there two words sweeter in the English language than bottomless mimosas? At Hamilton Walker's, you get to choose between Orange, Cranberry, or Pineapple when you stop by for brunch Sundays from 10a-2p.
