 Established in 1903, Paxton Carnegie Library remains one of Paxton's finest historical landmarks. The library provides over 24,000 books and over 1,000 DVDs, plus magazines, newspapers, large print, audio books, ebooks, microfilm, city and county historical information, computers, scanner, copier, and FAX for public use, a drive-up book drop, public internet access, wi-fi, and programs for adults and children. The library is an active member of the Illinois Heartland Library System, dedicated to the service of the community of Paxton.
