Kingfisher Kayaking is a non-profit that provides kayak rentals along with occasional tours in East Central Illinois. To make kayaking more accessible to the public, we provide the option to shuttle from designated locations in Champaign-Urbana to the start of the trip. Smaller groups of kayakers create a more peaceful, interconnected experience with the river’s wide diversity of wildlife. Typically, kayakers will see a variety of songbirds, waterfowl, turtles, dragonflies, and fish to name a few. Our favorite river animals are the majestic bald eagles, the playful river otter, and of course the amazing and beautiful kingfisher!
